What's new in Glance 2.7 for Windows
Glance goes mobile
Guests using mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone and Blackberry can now view your sessions. Virtually any device with a browser can join a Glance session!
Mobile guests join the same way desktop users do - just by opening a browser to your Glance address.
Instant join
With Instant Join your guests join your sessions just like it says - instantly! Use Instant Join to get your guests in fast and with the fewest clicks. (For remote control, or to show animations, use Glance's high performance plug-in instead.)
To choose instant join:
- Single-click the G icon in your system tray and choose Settings > Options
- Under "Have guests join," select Instantly (no download).
*Note: Glance automatically uses Instant Join for guests in secure environments who
might not otherwise be able to connect.
Encrypted sessions
To encrypt your sessions for added security:
- Single-click the G icon in your system tray and choose Settings > Options
- Under "During my sessions," check Encrypt my sessions
Various updates and improvements
Glance 2.7 includes numerous updates and improvements such as:
- Updated Settings UI
- Improved messaging regarding your account status when starting Glance sessions
- Improved the layout and clarity of messages that guests see when joining your sessions
- Better join experience for guests with JavaScript disabled
- Session info window can now accommodate very long Glance addresses
